Porter Man

I can't believe that my little man is already 5 months old! Why is it when you are pregnant, five months go by sooo sllloooww, and when the baby is here the time just flies by?? It is just crazy to me that my sweet little guy is so big already! I took him to the doctor for his 4 month check up, and he weighed 14lbs 15oz (38th percentile), and he was 23 1/2 inches long (41%)! He was a little champ during his shots. He didn't cry until about 30 seconds after he got them! I have had to take him to the doctor twice since that appointment because of the yucky cold that is going around down here. McKay and Ella both got the croup, and as soon as I heard it in Porter, I took him to the doctor. They gave him a steriod shot, and that really seemed to help for a week or so. He was still coughing, so I took him again to make sure he didn't have RSV. The doctor listened to his lungs, and said they sounded fine, and then she heard him cough. She didn't even test him, because she said his cough sounded just like RSV or the rotovirus, and there isn't anything you can do for either, so I just have watch him. He doesn't act sick, but then when he starts coughing, it is just sad and kind of scary. He is doing a little better, but the doctor told me to plan on at least three weeks until it was better! Porter is such a great little baby. He is sooo happy and smiley all the time! I feel very lucky to be his mommy! He adds so much to our home, and creates a lot of happiness and laughter! He just always lightens up the mood when he is around, because of his cute little smile. We just love him so much!
